Whilst crimewatch is popular, I bet less than 99% of people have been in a position to contribute anything to solving the crimes. At very best people can must a connection, such as 'OMG, I was alive when that happened!! What are the chances!!!'. etc. Obviously it helps if your old and senile and actually remember the 1980s.

i'm yankee and although i cannot possibly help solve any of these britisih crimes i still watch reruns of the show anyway purely fer my own entertainment. the american accents to be heard in the SHELLY MORGAN segment were very odd i must say especially when yer used to none of this show's segments having yankee accents of any kind ever.

I don’t trust the version of events portrayed in the Surinder Gill reconstruction. Wouldn’t be the first time a CW reconstruction subsequently turned out to be inaccurate. Kidnapped? I think not. By his own admission, his phone was having problems with interference. This is probably what his business associate heard that afternoon. Even fancy mobile phones were pieces of sheet in those days. People will say how do you explain the crash helmet in his car and not picking up his daughter then? Could have been him in the crash helmet and like a lot of these murder victims it’s possibly he had a life outside of what was commonly known about him.

I hope the police thoroughly investigated why someone cruelly convinced Paul Stevens they were going to offer him a job just to “wind him up.” That doesn’t seem like something you’d do to someone unless you had a pretty unhealthy dislike for them. Dislike enough to kill them? Perhaps not, but it definitely begs further questions.
